A Proven Method to Dramatically

When a person responds positively, say: Have you seen an Avon brochure lately?  If not, say: Id be happy to see that you get one on a regular basis and help you with any of your Avon needs OR Why not become your own Avon lady and save at least 20%?.

 

Offer a FREE gift with each order (a gift can be as simple as a sample or two OR even one of the Avon emery boards in the Business Tools section 15/$1.99!).  In a conversational manner, share personal details about why youre so enthusiastic about Avon & your business.

 

Be sure to ask for her name, address, phone number, and email address (if applicable) so you can follow-up with her and alert her to your outstanding specials.

What is an Avon Fund-Raiser?

Avon is uniquely suited to fund-raisers' needs. With an Avon Fund-raiser,
the members of the participating organization do all of the selling. You
take their orders and submit them on your Purchase Order. You decide what
percentage of the profit the organization will receive. Together with the
organization, you'll determine whether they'll sell from the fund-raiser
mini-brochure, single-page flyer or full brochure.


Earnings

Once you begin selling fund-raisers, you'll discover an incredible increase
in your earnings--right from the start. The Avon Fund-Raising "Getting
Started" kit shows you exactly how much money you can make -- you decide,
based on your own situation.

The "Getting Started" Kit: Minimum Investment, Maximum Results


With
Avon's "Getting Started" Fund-raising Kit --a one-time purchase --
you'll have everything you need to start a fund-raising business. The kit
takes you from the first steps you'll take to activate interest, right
through the last follow-up call. It includes such pieces as:

A complete "How to Guide"
4-Page color flyers
Worksheet/Timeline (to duplicate as needed)
3 Bulletin Board Flyers (each in two sizes to duplicate as needed)
2 Brochure inserts (to duplicate as needed)
Sample Introductory Letter (for you to personalize)
Letterhead (to duplicate as needed)
Sample Thank-you/Follow-up notes for Customers and participants

The Presentation Package ("Why an AVON Fund-Raiser?")


After you've made your first contact with fund-raising organizations, you'll
want to order Presentation Packages. You'll need to have one for each
organization you approach in person or through the mail. Even if they don't
have an Avon Fund-raiser immediately, the organization may want to keep your
Presentation Package on file for future reference. As your fund-raising
business grows, it's a good idea to have Presentation Packages on hand at
all times. They are $3.00 each and can be ordered on your Purchase Order or
your Online order form.

Participant's Materials


Once an organization has agreed to have an Avon Fund-raiser, you'll need to
order Participants' Materials (the brochure or flyer chosen and collection
envelopes) for each participant. The cost of these materials can be paid by
you, the organization, or split between you. Single-Page flyer (with order
form) - 75 cents per 10-Pack Mini-Brochure (with order form) - $1.25 per
10-Pack Full Brochure (pricing is identical to normal Brochure price
schedule) Participants' materials also include Collection Envelopes with
selling tips and a Master Order Sheet, as well as a separate Purchase Order
with a special envelope to submit the fund-raiser order to your branch.

So How do You Start Your Fund-Raising Business?

It's easy! Start by ordering the "Getting Started" kit, read it carefully,
and if you'd like, discuss the possibilities with your District Sales
Manager. You'll also want to order the other materials outlined on this
page. Before long, you'll be well on your way toward creating a successful
Avon Fund-raising business - and at the same time you'll be contributing to
your Community as well. What could be better?!

HOLIDAY FUND-RAISING

Follow these simple steps to conduct an
Avon fund-raiser using the Holiday
Flyer. You will receive full earnings on all products sold from the flyer.
Work with the organization to determine what percentage of those earnings
the organization will receive.

Heres how it works:

Ask to have one person from the organization (e.g., the PTA Treasurer) as
your contact. With the contact person, come to an agreement on the start and
finish dates of the

Fund-raiser and the date the order and payment are due to you. The contact
person will facilitate distributing flyers, collecting payments, and
delivering the products to participants.

Each participant gets a flyer and a collection envelope.

As with all fund-raisers, customers pay when they place their orders, so you
and the organization have your earnings up front!

Place the order by calling toll-free 1-888-564-2866. You can order from the
Holiday Fund-raiser flyer in C-2025 (C-22104 T.S.). Your order will be
shipped and billed in your next campaign; or if you request immediate
delivery, you will be charged for shipping and your order will be treated as
an add-on order.

Deliver the order to your contact at the organization.

Special Instructions:

Use the toll-free number to register your Fund-raisers and order products
from the Holiday Fund-raiser flyer.

When ordering, give the operator your name, account number, and the name,
address, and sales tax-exempt number (if applicable) of the organization.

Products ordered through the toll-free number will count toward Award Sales
and earnings level.

Use the same toll-free number to order additional flyers.

There is no limit to the number of fund-raisers you can have.

WHAT IS AVON TAILGATING?

 

You have seen or even participated in the SPORTS events Tailgating.people bring out their best food, best souvenirs, and best beverages for a GREAT TIME.  Most of the time, if not always, everyone are willing to share with everyone walking by.

 

WE ARE TAILGATING to share our wonderful product and opportunity with others.

 

PURPOSE:  TO ADVERTISE YOUR BUSINESS!

 

 

WHAT YOU NEED (but not limited to)

* A minimum of 2 representatives, but not more than 4 at one time

* A large or noticeable vehicle

* AVON BANNER (Leadership Kit has a perfect one!)

* A POSTER with the words FREE AVON on it  - use vinyl lettering (6 or larger) or lettering from the computer.  DO NOT HAND WRITE THE SIGN - make this professional!  DO NOT USE RED LETTERING - use DARK BLUE OR BLACK ON A LIGHT COLORED BACKGROUND

*PLEASE NOTE:  AVON must be in ALL IN capital letters, as per the advertising policies of AVON.  AVON is a registered trademark and logo.

*Samples and testers

*Recruiting Information and Kits

*Current Brochures

*Sales Receipts

*Pens

*Clipboard(s)

*Index cards or something you have professional created on your PC for the potential customer to write their name and phone number on for your follow up

*Another recommendation:  Customer Survey - provided on the following pages

*Leave the children at a daycare or babysitter so you can focus on the activity and HAVE FUN!

 

WHAT TO WEAR:

* Appropriate to the weather BUT PROFESSIONAL

* Some reps wear khakis and a polo shirt.

* AVON name badge or pin

* This is not a place for jeans, t-shirt etc.  This is work, not errand or house cleaning time! 

* A BIG SMILE AND GREAT ATTITUDE

 

WHEN:  (not limited to, but recommended)

* Friday afternoons 10-2

* Saturday afternoon 10-2

* Sunday afternoons 11-3

 

WHERE:

* Find an empty parking lot or parking space where there is a heavy flow of traffic AND easily accessible by motorists.  Avoid construction areas.

 

 

SET UP AND ACTION:

* Each representative should have a sign to hold up

* Park the vehicles in an angle that you can hang the Banner facing the street

* Tie Balloons to the vehicle

* Stand by vehicle and wave at passerbys - LOOK LIKE YOU ARE HAVING FUN, because this is fun!

 

 

WHEN A MOTORIST/PASSERBY STOPS BY:

* To be fair to each other..rotate who gets the leads

* When a motorist drives up, ALL REPS should smile and wave, but ONLY ONE person go up to the car or wait on the person to walk up to the AVON vehicle. 

* They stop by because they are curious, looking for a specific AVON product or need an AVON representative. 

* If they fill out the customer questionnaire, give them ONE sample, one brochure and let them know you will take GOOD CARE OF THEM and call them soon!

* SMILE SMILE SMILE and be polite and say thank you as you finish the conversation and/or as they drive away.

 

 

THERE ARE NO HARD AND FAST RULES to TAILGATING,

this is only serves as a recommendation.  Make the event PERSONAL and YOURS, but always keep professional and FUN FUN FUN!!!
